On June 12th, 2008 CASATSART sites from around the country came to the Crowne Plaza Hotel to be part of a conferecne geared towards Education and Truancy Prevention.

Keynotes were Ken Seeley who is the President and CEO of the National Center for School Engagement at CFFC and Jay Henry who is the Director of Truancy and Deliquency Prevention of Philadelphia Department of Human Services.

Workshop facilitators were Sonya Lopez: "Youth at Risk": What is Intensive Case Management?; Hilaria Bauer: Turning Schools Around In Your Community; Ken Seeley: Truancy Prevention: Keeping children in school and interested, Jay Alire: Racial Equity and Youth Development in Education; Ann-Margaret Gutierrez: Keeping Middle School Students Interested In Your Program; Jay Henry and Judge Joan Byer: Truancy Prevention-Using family court to reduce truancy
